FJ – Finger Joint Miter Machine


The FJ is a Finger Joint Machine that utilizes a dual spindle PLC machining center for producing high quality finger joint miters used in cabinet door manufacturing. It includes two 5 HP motors for cutting the miter, two 1 HP spindles for drilling dowel holes. There is a hogging tool to remove the majority of material before the finger joint is cut. This saves on tooling costs for finger joint tools. The FJ is driven and controlled by a Galil PLC. This means there is no complicated computer to operate or repair. There is no CNC motion on this machine. It is entirely controlled by PLC, pneumatics and relays.

A dual 45 degree precision mounted V shaped fixture is mounted to a 1/2″ thick machined aluminum table to allow for the machining of two parts at one time.
2 Zones are standard to allow for maximum productivity.
