The BOA-M is a manually operated Case Clamp designed to clamp cabinet boxes, drawer boxes and case goods that have been doweled together. The dowel construction process is proven to produce more boxes per hour per employee than any other process. The case clamp is an integral part of this process. The Pillar Machine BOA-M98 is designed to meet medium to large production needs while maintaining the flexibility for a large variety of sizes. While parts are setting up in the clamp, additional hardware, drawer slides and doors can be installed. The interwoven pressure beam design is faster than pod style clamping systems. Constant and even force is applied through both beams evenly to force the box into a square location while the glue on the dowels is cured. A finalist for the Challenger Award to be given away at the 2010 IWF show in Atlanta, GA this August. The DBJ is a multi-axis, multi-station Horizontal Drawer Box Machining Center designed to fully machine a drawer box from dimensioned material. The machine can be configured to do English Dovetail, French Dovetail, Dowel, Dado, or a combination of both/all types of Drawer Box Construction. It can also bore the construction holes for mounting drawer fronts, route for the undermount drawer glides, and route the drawer bottom grooves as well. When equpped with PILLAR-LINK and barcode readers, the DBJ can set itself up by means of the barcode. The TSS machine was designed to cut materials that are susceptible to tear out as well as for pack cutting of multiple parts at the same time. The saw will feature two counter rotating saws mounted above and below one another. The bottom saw is designed for pre-scoring parts prior to cut off to prevent tear out. The bottom spindle is designed to accept a 6" diameter scoring saw and is powered by a 1 1/2 HP motor. Spindle speed is 4700 RPM. The top spindle is designed for a 12" diameter saw blade and is powered by a 3 HP motor with a spindle speed of 4700 RPM as well. Saw blade travel is horizontal via linear bearings. It is powered by a pneumatic cylinder with adjustable flow controls. For Safety, horizontally mounted pneumatic work clamps are installed on each side of the cut-off saw and are equipped with a proximity switch to release only after full saw blade retraction. The VX machine series is designed for many different types of vertical boring. Many drill head configurations are available. 32mm as well as other styles of drill heads are optional. Routing is available in single or multiple head configurations. Two work zones are standard. Parts may be loaded in one side of the machine while the other side is running. All motion is CNC controlled, and program storage is unlimited. A color touch screen is used to load and recall programs. Programming is very fast. A new program can generally be written in about two minutes. Hole positions are shown on the screen for easy verification of layouts.
